Just curious, no posts required just your vote, and we can see what U's fans think?

This seems to reflect the almost 50/50 split that's been reported in opinion polls so far.

I wonder how many Sutton Utd fans who support 'leave' also believe that Bedsente Gomis should have had the freedom to come and play for their club.

Intesting view if not a bit worrying, of course many players of French - African decent do come to the UK game via EU regs, but it is also true that many aFrican players are denied the right to come here and play. What some leavers would like is simply the freedom to choose, so Bedsy would be fine as would bringing in African players on trial, best of both worlds.

Not the best of both worlds with the amount of paperwork. If you've had any experience of the UK Points-based system for migration (which I have) then you'd know that getting any player from outside the UK would be nigh on impossible for the very limited admin resources that Sutton have, and even if they did there would be heavily certified conditions in which they would play. If you think that leaving gives the freedom to choose, then you are wrong. The freedom lies within the government in question.

I am aware of the difficulties as they are, and I am not saying its all plain sailing. My only point is that just because a person supports leave doesn't mean they are against the movement of people/players etc. Leavers have been painted so negatively.

Surely the rules are that non-EU players must have sufficient appearances for their international side in order to play professionally in Britain, which just about rules out any non-EU players at National League level. I can't see the rabid leave supporters relaxing those rules, so if we come out the next Bedsente won't be joining us.

So voting leave may actually help producing home grown players as they'll be able to play at a higher standard. You won't be watching teams with no British players perhaps.

I'd say the presence or not of EU (non British) at non league level is probably one of the more irrelevant issues of the whole debate. Don't think we'll struggle too much with finding Brits to play semi professional football! Voted remain this morning.

I've just voted Leave.

One thing this whole campaign has done successfully on both sides is to promote a divide between communities and people. We're all fantastical and fanatical Sutton supporters, regardless of being "in" or "out" and will continue to be so come Friday and beyond.

Its a tough decision to make but one side's supporters should not be denigrating the other side for whatever they choose

I have no interest in producing home grown players. I want my club to sign the best players, wherever they come from, and I want to watch the best players. If the English players are good enough, they will come through.

One could argue that we'd never have Craig Eastmond playing for us if there wasn't an influx of foreign players pushing some of our home grown players, quite possibly unfairly, down the pecking order. I don't think any Sutton supporter would ever of wanted us NOT to have a player of his calibre!
