I was a bit worried for a minute having interpreted 'some hard news' as 'hard to take' rather than 'solid'. Thanks though Tim (and Paul) for keeping us up to date...

Ah, sorry to miss-lead - it's all good pal, it's all good.

Thanks for the update Tim, regarding Alex Wall - is he effectively just on trial with us through pre-season then?

Before he was released this was the view of a Bromley fan:
Wall has all the attributes you would want in a striker he's a big unit, got a bit of pace and has a powerful shot on him. Alas he has not used these attributes in anything more than fits and starts this season. He has spent at least half of the season injured and when he has got on the pitch he has played with the type of body language that does not endear him to the fanbase. When you're not banging goals but still have time to posture on the pitch you will feel the wrath of the fans. Ultimately a striker is judged on his goal return and whilst their is a school of thought that says Wall's return/start (3/9) ratio is not bad. The reality is that he has never looked like he is the right fit for the football club and has cut an increasingly disconsolate/detached figure. Obviously he has a contract for next season but I would question if he is at the right football club. If Neil cannot get him out on loan or sold then it's worth getting a sports psychologist to work with Alex. I fear we will never see the best from him all the while this doesnt happen.
Let's hope Dos can get the best out of the guy.

I presume he's been released or Bromley are happy to get him off the payroll.

If the author wrote that with some insider knowledge it's pretty poor form to divulge it on a forum; conversely, if the author wrote that with no 'insider' knowledge then it's an even worse splurge of total guff full of ill-informed opinion and conclusion! PS - Poor form to copy and paste without a link to the source for credit and context, too

Just noted Alex Wall has been included on Bromley's preliminary squad list for the coming season. Wonder if they don't know what we do..
