TBH, the Plod seemed to come & have a go for 45 minutes and that was it. Phil kept 'em out and from the start of the second half, they did very little.
Pitch wasn't that heavy either. I walked across it after the game on the way back from Roses and I was surprised by how firm it was underfoot.

Perhaps the Plod let us win as they had a big march today and they needed their zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzs.

I have to admit I enjoyed the banter last night. Was much better than watching the game...
My favourite moment - Taz's outburst aimed at the fourth official when he lifted the board to say "four more minutes" (of this tosh)...

For a drab match, it was fairly feisty. 5 yellows & 1 red. And a Met Police player got away with throwing an albeit half hearted punch at Tom Hughes.
I though The Old Bill should have been in front at ht & while we had loads of possession after the break, we made only 3 chances which we failed to convert. Jon Daly down the right for them caused loads of problems in the second half.
The penalty was defo for me. I was right in front of it. The defender didn't get near the ball, there was was contact with bash (with accompanying noise to suggest it was a bit more than some thought).
Still, we didn't play well again & that's the worry for me.

Does anyone know what UG was so pissed off about at the end of the first half. I was standing by a corner he was taking and he was muttering to himself like and angry drunk!

If I'd been playing for Sutton in that game, I'd have been a tad p*ssed off. The Met made us look very ordinary for most of the match. It was a low-key fixture, played in front of a very small crowd, and maybe in those circumstances the players found it difficult to hit top gear. Things should be a bit different on Saturday!

Mine was when their players started knocking seven shades of crap out of each other and someone yelled, "Somebody call a policeman!" ;D
