I have been informed today of the passing of Norman Gaff aka Milky.
Milky was a U's fan for many years but eventually had to stop coming down as his sight deteriorated.
He used to give my grandfather a lift to matches & I returned the compliment for a short while a few seasons ago.
As well as being a fan, Milky helped sell programmes at home matches. He was a larger than life character with a real generous nature. He once owned a Delboy Trotter van, which he drove all the way up to Spennymoor when the coach was over booked.
Sympathies to his wife and family.

The sight of Norman's 3-wheeler overtaking and then heading on up the A1 towards Spennymoor just before the supporters' coach pulled off into a service station is something I will always remember. One of the established characters at Sutton when I started watching and someone who will be greatly missed.

Very sad news. Sold programmes with him until the time he was unable to come down. He was indeed a very kind and genuinely nice guy.
My condolences to his family
