TBH, the sentiment of "getting back to grassroots" is all well and good, but FFS, these wankers just want some little toy for saturdays and will then be at Anfield on a sunday\monday f*cking helping to prop up the monied Premier League they all profess to detest so much!!
This paragraph sums it up.
"It will draw it's support base from Liverpool fans. It is expected that AFC Liverpool fans will still support Liverpool and still go to Anfield to support the Reds. The club is meant as a grassroots addition to Liverpool FC, not to be a replacement for it."
In 20 years, football at this level will be dead. Full of pretend clubs like this which are simply a vehicle for morons who are p*ssed off with not being able to go to football at their first club like in the "good old days", yet who don't have the bollocks to turn round and tell the Premiership where to stick their "best league in the world".
What a joke.

Obviously playing all over the world isn't good enough for them. They have to invade the non league world. Sod the lot of them I say. All that crap about being partisan. It IS supporting 2 teams, and many non league supporters DO support 2 teams, but at least have the sense to make sure they are 2 different teams.
Idiots. I'm waiting for some Jared scouse bashing now...

If fans of Premier League sides are p*ssed off with the way they're treated, the answer is to transfer allegiance - if only on a temporary basis - to an existing club playing at a lower level.
The problem with "fans' clubs" established from scratch by disenchanted supporters of big clubs is that they may only last as long as the disenchantment. What happens if the Glazers pull out of Manure and are succceeded by new owners acceptable to most fans of FC United? Some of the FC United crew may come to regret taking what turns out to be a short-term position. The same is likely to apply to AFC Liverpool - if it ever gets off the ground.

What a load of grumbling old men you lot are!
Taz, a massive over-reaction ; thought better of you. I don't think these "new clubs" will threaten the traditional non-league clubs at all. There's much more threat from changing demographics; look at the West London M4 corridor clubs and their support. they will follow the demise in the 1980s of several East London/Essex clubs I believe ....

Sorry Ratty, if they actually had the bollocks to break away 100% and say "No, we're not doing that any more", then fair enough, you'd have to hold your hands up and respect that. But it seems that's just a little too difficult for them.
They just want their cake & eat it.

Which is what AFCW did, as stated by one of our supporters on another site.
