I reckon it could work, he is a goal poacher and gets his head in there and I think our back 4 can just about cope without him, but what the hell its got to be worth risk. I go as far to say if Scooby plays for 90mins upfront he will score. Desperate times calls for desperate measures, so what you think, cos I really really don't wanna go down We could also do with a few free kicks around the box with John in there? Come on Ern its got to be worth a go!!!!

Yes but only for the last 5 minutes.Perhaps he could have a little longer. After all didn't he use to be a striker?

We could even try Phil, he's a big lad and he told me he scored three in training the other week. Plus everybody knows all keepers fancy themselves as a striker. Kev between the sticks at one end and Phil whacking them in at the other. I'm a genius i know

TBH, it's unlikely you'll see Scooby employed as a striker unless it's for a few mins at the end of a game.
You don't spend weeks looking for a striker, buy one, then start using a centre back you had all along. Just daft!

Its just plain daft to ignore 17 goals in 165 app from a defender in a team that has struggled for his entire stint with us? Many of them 17 goals were match winning ones when we needed them, he won't bottle it and he is good with his head and knows exactly where to be for them 1 yard tap ins??

It worked with John Rains 25 years ago. Could lightening strike twice, though?

Not sure what that would do for Steffan's (or Craig's) confidence - could go either way, either galvanising them or demoralising them! I wouldn't complain if Ernie gave it a whirl though. Desperate times call for desperate measures...
