For a laugh, go read the BBC report on the match. Apparently had a narrow victory (yes the win was by one goal but even the Dagenham fans on their forum are saying it could have been 4 or five) and the first half was uneventful.

BBC reports at this level are always a joke, best ignored.

Apologies if this is a stupid question but I assume that as BT televised the match there will be no SUFC TV highlights?
Ain't got BT...

For those who don't do Twitter, Dos posted this today: What nice people Adam Virgo and Dean Saunders are.Dean spent twenty minutes with Tommy Wright after the game coaching him on different movements etc. Absolute class from a top top player👏🏻👏🏻 Twitter paul Doswell

Quality performance, close to the heights of Macclesfield and 2nd half at Aldershot for intensity. Could easily have been 4 or 5, that wouldnt have flattered us such was our dominance. However, yet again we were left hanging on due to a worrying inability to close out games we have dominated in comfort. Not good for stress levels but great excitement for the less partizan fans and neutrals.
Tommy Wright seems to be learning at a pace and he played his socks off in the lone striker, even winning a few headers and holding the ball up when required. He was a constant thorn in the side of Daggers' back line and he always looked likely to nick a goal, as it proved. In him we have a player who you always back to get a goal and he could quite possibly be that hallowed 30 goal man next year if we are still playing at National level.
Great to see us playing on the deck most of the game and passing the ball through the midfield, not just relying on flick ons and playing it out wide at every opportunity. Yet when we did go out wide the deliveries into the box were generally class. Need Butler back asap though, our loan keeper's decision making was awful and so nearly cost us a goal, although his kicking and handling was decent.
Dundo and Lafayette have put their bodies on the line this season and are clearly getting some much needed rest, but today's game showed we can win games without them. Hopefully Coombes will come into his own if we are playing this kind of attacking high tempo football more often.

Going via BT Sport highlights only I make it 9 attempts on target (including goals) and 6 off target for us, and 5 on target (none off target) for Daggers.

I wonder if the 20 minutes coaching session was enough to teach Tommy the "throw-in off the back of the keeper routine." Deano was playing for Sheffield Utd and the clip is still around on U Tube, he was the only player of his era who would have thought of that - much less pulled it off.
