It takes a bit of time to find his feet but he’s doing very well at Cov as the target man. They’re doing well in the league and as he’s in the team he must be playing well

Wish him the best, but a return of 3 goals more than half way through the season isn't great. Would be interesting (in a hypothetical sense) to know whether he would be in our team this season. He scored 10 goals in 39 league appearances for us, and so far (I think) just 1 in 23 since his transfer.
He wouldn't be in my team. Hope he goes on to prove me wrong. In my opinion he took a long time to get settled and hopefully he is still going through that phase at his new home and can prove me wrong by becoming established at the higher level.

I was a big fan of Max so I have been following his progress at Coventry. I get the impression that he has been extremely unlucky in front of goal. He has quite a few assists and the Coventry fans like him! I'd certainly consider playing him alongside Wright in this team. However, he's not here so it's a non-discussion.

They love him up there. So pleased his hard work is paying off and the goals are coming. Last weeks was sensational!

They didn't at the start. Shows how fickle supporters can be.

He certainly had a great leap. But I can’t forget that the BBC Sport guy doing the web commentary against Arsenal wrote that the ball was bouncing off him so often it was like “playing with a trampoline up front”.

Yeah his hold up play wasn't the best I remember Billy mentioning it after the FA Cup game vs Forest Green. He's one of those units who's great at getting his head on the first ball and using his strength to unsettle defenders.
He works hard, is ok technically and has trickery but lacks goals but I think he's one of those strikers who most managers like to have a FL/VNL level. For his lack of goals he brings a worth to others around him.

I really rated him. He came on leaps and bounds in the second half of the season and hit his stride, showing some quality finishing as the goals started to come. His link up play was decent and Id personally take him over Ross L by a small margin, although I like both players. Would be very interesting to compare their assists/goals ratio per game at the end of the season, if such a thing was possible. I expect Max's goals per game will be higher. As for the Arsenal game, well might not have been his best but its not every day you play against quality like that, some players shine in the biggest games others struggle and thats not a worthwhile measure of players at this level.
