Macclesfield felt able to bring three players in on loan from EFL clubs last month to help with their promotion push, so, for want of a better phrase, "f**k 'em". You reap what you sow. Given the speed of the statement after only being a couple of days late with the pay packets, I would suggest this has probably been going on for a while. The club will be in breach of contract, which would allow any of their players to move as free agents if they so chose. Very interesting... I wonder if any Silkmen have found their way into Dos' little black book... Maybe some of their fans he has. Actually maybe not, but they may be in the local police black book.... |

I first saw Macclesfield play in 1968 at Craven Cottage in a 3rd round FA cup tie.Fulham were in the top flight then and won 4-2 after going behind if i remember correctly.
It should perhaps be noted that not every football club is sponsored by an oil trillionaire,a russian billionaire or a millionaire property developer.

It should perhaps be noted that not every football club is sponsored by an oil trillionaire,a russian billionaire or a millionaire property developer. Regardless of how a club is funded, it's not exactly hard to see that they should operate within whatever means they have. If they don't have the money to pay their existing players, they shouldn't be bringing in more of them. |

Well realistically were only just into Feb so "it's a few days late". Different organisations might pay on different dates - they could be talking about wages due Jan 1st (for example) |

Apparently there was supposed to be a statement this afternoon/tonight. Their fans are still waiting. Really doesn’t look good and they’ve got 3 new players and advertising for more staff (although the latter may be unpaid)

Apparently the players will be paid on Monday when the owner will forward the funds!
