Excellent service of course for those who can't get down to Dover.
This may seem pedantic, but I understand that some of the locals get quite prickly about it. Dover's ground is simply called Crabble, not the Crabble. We wouldn't want our commentary team to make that mistake!

Well some called it ‘The’ Crabble Athletic Ground.... so it doesn’t really matter that much....

Not by Dover fans! A lot of things are popularly said but still wrong...how often do we hear things like "I'm going to lay down"? (I physically cringed while typing that.)
It would be like saying "the Anfield" or "the Molineux."
Not that I think it's THAT important but it is just Crabble (Athletic Ground).

Someone'll be telling me our ground isn't "Gander Green Lane" next.

I never think of it as anything but GGL. I think Yeovil used to be another club who got cross with people referring to "The Huish" instead of just Huish.

As far as we're concerned I think the reason that Gander Green Lane has been used far more than the Borough Sports Ground is that the latter name scores zero for both memorability and imagination.
Whereas Gander Green Lane has got a little bit more about it. It's never just about what places are strictly/correctly called.
