After all the excitement at Torquay we face another match against a basement struggler.
Not quite dead and buried they had a morale boosting win at home to Fylde on Tuesday so we can expect another tough game.

Could be another nervy affair. I expect every game to be tough from here on in.
Hopefully we can get off to a good start. Cannot afford to give head starts to sides like this.

Guiseley have lost 5 straight league away games on the bounce. They're also bottom of the league. Yes they are fighting for their lives, but we're fighting just as hard, and getting 3 points here is just as important to us. They're bottom for a reason and we're 2nd for a reason.
I expect they won't be coming here for a 0-0 so we just have to make sure we take the lead. If so, they will push forward and give us chances to go even further ahead. We go one down, they will park the proverbial bus.
Winning these games will go a long way to determine whether we seriously challenge for the title or not.

With 12 games to play for the majority of the teams in the NL - stats go out of the window.
At this final stage of the season it’s all about desire and guts. Sides fighting for survival start playing like promotion candidates and teams going for promotion or a playoff place start feeling the pressure.
Results can be very hard to predict which they are at the best of times.
It’s one game at a time (sound like a manager) and sometimes a point at the time can seem disastrous but they’ll all count come April 28th.
Prediction:
3-0. HB, TB & BH.

With the exception of Aldershot and Wrexham I suspect all the leading clubs are happy with their opponents on Saturday, given the tough sets of fixtures last weekend and Tuesday. It will be interesting to see who grabs 3 points and who will be ruing points dropped.

so we can expect another tough game. I'd imagine so yep but one that we can hopefully pull through - am missing this one annoyingly 😩. Be interesting to see who misses out on selection tomorrow what with the squad swelling with Beautyman returning from his ban and Taylor coming back into the squad after his recent loan at Hampton. Hopefully Moses can bang in a couple up at Macclesfield for Maidenhead! Come on you U's!! |
