Well FootballWebPages aren’t a very reliable source, I’ve seen on many occasions that they’ve provided the wrong score, I’ll still take it as Harry’s first goal back at sufc even though there was a slight deflection If i makes you any happier soccerway said it was a Harry goal BBC said it was an own goal so did sky sports Well BBC and Sky are the most reliable sources in my opinion and the club of course, I’ll accept it as an own goal but if BBC and Sky says it’s an own goal then it is an own goal but it would have been amazing if it did go straight it without a deflection

Harry's goal was a bit of a fluke. From what I saw ball floated in past the keeper, hit the far post, hit the keeper and went in.

Harry's goal was a bit of a fluke. From what I saw ball floated in past the keeper, hit the far post, hit the keeper and went in. We can confirm Own Goal, the ball comes back off the post and hits the keeper on the shoulder and deflects in.. Highlights Tomorrow..

4-0 to Sutton was the sort of result that many neutrals would have predicted before kick-off, but, as Dos acknowledged in his post-match interview, there was no place for lazy assumptions in the home camp. For the first half-hour Guiseley were pretty solid, their defenders reading and dealing with our balls into their area, while their forwards posed a threat at the other end. Then, when we tried a different form of attack, their frailties were suddenly exposed. A long throw from near the corner flag caused confusion in their box and the ball fell to Terell Thomas who poked home his first Sutton goal.
Our second goal was also the result of poor defending, as their keeper seemed to have claimed the ball only for it to squirm loose, eventually being worked across the goalmouth to Byron Harrison who was presented with a simple finish. The third followed great wing play from Tom B, cutting the ball back to Craig Eastmond, whose shooting is not usually the most accomplshed part of his game but on this occasion was faultless. The fourth, as discussed above, was another moment to forget for the visiting keeper.
That result equals our biggest win of the season (it was also 4-0 at Boreham Wood) and boosts our goal difference to +15, only five worse than Tranmere who have the best in the division.

It's a cracking division this year with plenty of clubs at the top showing a mentality to keep going for every available point. We bagged all 3 points with almost literally the last touch of the game earlier in the week at Torquay, so it would be churlish to be upset with the outcomes of yesterday's matches. Yet, Macclesfield get the winner in injury time, and Tranmere were losing with ten minutes of their game to go, and still took 3 points from an away game.

While Guiseley may have been architects of the margin of defeat, U's still deserved the victory. A last ditch tackle prevented Byron H an early shooting chance before Jamie B made a tremendous save from an effort that was curling into the top corner on the strong breeze. U's were guilty of giving the ball away a few times but they eventually got a foot hold and then scored. KC's long throw was headed on by a defender and Coddington could only present the ball to Terrell T who scored his first goal for Sutton.
Tom B brought a good save from Coddington another KC throw caused more concern for Guiseley and LJ's effort cannoned off Byron H but away from the goal.
Not sure what went on with the second goal as the 'keeper appeared to have it then it was loose for Byron H to net. The third came from some superb wing play by Tom B and Craig E swept the ball home. The fourth was Harry's corner that caught on the breeze hit the post and then cannoned off the luckless 'keeper into the net.
Guiseley had their opportunities most obvious late in the game when clean through their fella contrived to not hit the target thus preserving U's clean-sheet.
Not Sutton's best display but the wind that was not so obvious to those at the CR end in the first half certainly favoured the team attacking the GGL end and Guiseley was probably fortunate not to concede more in the second period.
Motm for me was Terrell Thomas, once again he was able to add to the midfield when pushing forward, defended pretty well too. A comfortable victory for Sutton after a hard programme of travel and football over the last few weeks and if the weather acts as reported this week, expect Halifax to be midweek too.
For the third consecutive Saturday another decent refereeing performance; my only criticism would be he probably should have booked one of their guys earlier but some would say he showed common sense in that department too.
All U's can do is keep the pressure on and keep this run going. Let's face it who wouldn't have taken second place at this stage of the season back in August? Tremendous.
Onto Merstham Tuesday night who will provide a sterner test than either of our two previous SSC opponents this season and hopefully a welcome back to Tommy Kav.

I made Terell Thomas our 20th different goalscorer (in all competitions) this season after his goal yesterday. Some going that!
