I'll always remember a game there ( last game of the season 2006/7 ) when Phil Wilson Luke Naughton got sent off, and Alan Bray went in goal, with about a minute left of 'normal time' AJ got knocked out, and rather than take an age to sort things out, the ref blew up for full time ! I remember us having to play in blue there one evening, the only time I have ever seen us play in blue??

The blue thing actually happened at half time when the ref decided the two clubs kits clashed.
I remember we lost that day. 5 2 I think. Ali Chabaan missed a penalty too.

I was never a great fan of Thurrock's ground but some of us will remember the infamous 'fleetburgers'. You could almost get a coronary just by looking at one of those. I also recall 6-0 and 6-3 wins for Sutton there. I got food poisoning after eating a Fleetburger after our visit there in 07/08

Ridiculous that he allowed two teams in yellow to play each other and ridiculous that he decided as late as half time to do something about it.

Already mentioned that I haven’t above! ..... hence why I want to visit it as it is a proper traditional non league ground... You said it a roundabout way but then you talk about how beautiful the ground is which you've only seen in pictures. Utterly extraordinary! I think I'll just read memories of those who have been there or seen us play them. I have been to the ground and agree with Ryan Dawkins. At the end of the day everybody has an opinion and just because it is different to yours Andyk does not make it wrong. Stop attacking everything that Ryan says. Quite frankly im getting a little peed off with it.

My failing memory tells me that the problem was that our change strip at the time was green and white and, of course, Purrock played in yellow and green.

I remember seeing the players and thinking "what the hell are we doing in yellow HERE?" Our dark green and white away strip would probably have been ok. The green was dark enough to create a decent contrast with the Thurrock one.

Sad news.I could never take to the place but I'm sure there will be some disappointed/upset fans. We are very lucky to support such a well run club
