So another home game for us this weekend as we host Solihull Moors following hot on the heels of Tuesday night's victory over Woking.
This will be a much tougher game for us than Woking so I feel we will need to play at a better level to get a result - fingers crossed we can of course!
C'mon U's!!

... (rather well written, I think ) ... I agree, although it would be more usual to be "home-straight", with its derivation from horse racing, rather than "strait", a thin body of water, I would think?

Looking forward to this - only game no4 of the season for me but will be renewing the ST. My last game was the last time we lost at GGL in the league so...er...let's hope that's not a jinx!

Hope found it but think SUFCtv on youtube or Mixlr. 1-0 up all a bit silly think about 4 or 5 bookings each atm

Very hard earned 3 points. Bit of a war that one but they all count. Can't see Solihull going down, I thought they were pretty good even though they pushed the laws to the limit sometimes. But we can give as good as we get in a game like that

Gritty win.
Can't say I'd be heartbroken if they did go down, tbh.

Can anyone recommend a place where I can get my nails done please? Not fussed if they come out all coloured and glitzy?! Mine were bitten right down during today's game, especially the last 10 mins or so. Kenny Davis was my man of the natch. A couple of results going our way too was an added bonus.

We knew this wouldn't be an easy match, and so it proved. After our fairly comfortable 2-0 win at their place last November I posted with some confidence that I didn't think they'd still be at this level next season. I take that back. A physically imposing side, with maybe five six-footers in their line-up, they are surely now too strong to finish in the bottom four, despite today's defeat. The match could have gone either way, but was settled by a spectacular first-half goal from Tom Bolarinwa. Jamie Butler had to make some smart saves to keep us in the game, and even after Solihull had been reduced to ten men with fifteen minutes to go they continued to pose a threat.
For once I agree with the sponsors' MOTM, Kenny Davis having a calm and authoritative game in a bruising midfield battle.
So that's our third double of the season (answering Moors' double over us last season). We stay 2nd, but Aldershot's capitulation at Fylde has allowed us to open up a five-point gap above the side in 3rd, now Tranmere. Macclesfield remain top, but have to go to Dover next Saturday.

Hard fought 1-0 win there today. Thought Solihull held their own at times and made it very tough for us to get a second and push on in the match. As expected they were no mugs and after seeing us struggle to beat teams scrapping at the bottom of the table I was happy to get the 3 points. Even by NL standard the officials were terrible today, I think the ref thought everyone was there to see him.

Kenny Davis was fantastic today. So many tackles and interceptions he was a real force. Some lovely passed too but my particular highlight was when he controlled a high looping ball beautifully with his laces in the first half. Definitely my man of the match. Really enjoyed today's game.
