He never really did it for me - I always got the impression that he thought he was better than he was - certainly didn't deliver for us. Wish him well and hope it works out.

Shame he never worked out. Struggled with fitness and when he got game time seemed off the pace. Good luck to the lad at welling, I’m sure he’ll do well. When is Ross Laff due back from Maidstone?

Best of luck at Welling, the only club really where he seemed to click. He is not the tried and tested goal score like Byron Harrison or Ross Lafayette.

One of those players where the manager seemed to see something none of the fans could. Probably awesome in training. Welling are still in with a chance for play offs and I for one hopes Coombes can help fire them back into the Conference where I feel they belong. Always liked Welling plus its a short away day trip from Peckham. Looks like we could be renewing some recent rivalries next season if we dont go up. Hampton, Havant, dartford, Hemel, St Albans all in the top 6. Just anyone, I mean ANYONE except Braintree.

It's tempting to say that he was a very good Step 2 striker who turned out not to be quite good enough for Step 1. There were hints towards the end of last season thst he had made the step up, in particular two great goals at GGL against an admittedly poor Chester side. Then he suffered that nasty pre-season injury at Havant and missed the crucial first six weeks of this season. By the time he was fit, Tommy Wright had established himself as first-choice pacy striker.
He was given opportunities as sub but didn't really grasp them. Handed a start against Merstham in the SSC, a chance to fill his boots, he flopped. From that evening his days as a Sutton player were numbered.

Agree pretty much in entirety with the two above, yet wish Adam the best with the rest of his career. Maybe he will get the chance to prove us all wrong, the manager always spoke highly of him.

AC scored the winner for Welling in a 1-0 win away to East Thurrock United. Good for him, shows he has tenacity & BHO (Bradley Hudson Odoi) scored 2 for Hampton & Richmond in a 3-1 home win over Weston Super Mare. Good players both.

His must literally be a Sutton jinx as soon as a player leaves, they start performing... anyway good luck to Adam, alwsys have him a chance just a shame he never got to prove himself at the club!
