Ha! Hello there Macclesfield! What did you have to go and do that for?

Disappointing evening.
I think Tranmere are out of things now though - they won’t make up 8 points on Macclesfield in the remaining games.
Friday afternoon has just been made even more important!

Never expected anything else tonight particularly after FA Trophy semi on Sat. Gateshead did well to take it as late as they did and sounded all night like Macclesfield were knocking on the door. Long way to go yet. I’d agree it is difficult to see anyone other than the top 2 producing the winner of the league now. Macclesfield will be feeling more heat than us and as a club we have nothing to lose. Both sides will drop points, it’s just a question of how many. Look forward to Friday as we give it our all for another good result.

Macclesfield's Easter fixtures are against two bottom-third sides in poor form, Woking away then Chester at home. Sutton's challenge now is to keep pace with them. 😮

At the start of the year we were 8 points behind, now we are only 3 on level games. I expected the Heed to lose by more than 1-0 following their exit from the Trophy only three days ago, so that is a good achievement on their part. Blimey, I must have been drinking as I sound almost upbeat. I need to go and lie down in a darkened room.

Let’s hope our Surrey neighbours’ ominous drop towards the relegation zone stirs them into action. I wouldn’t have much hope if they were away but at home you never know!

I don't disagree, though there's not much optimism amongst the Woking fans! This may be clutching at straws, but Macc playing three times in seven days could mean they lose a bit of freshness. Bromley's defeat last night means they're almost out of the play-off hunt, which might just be to our advantage come Monday.

Maccs key player Elliott Durrell also went off injured mid-way through the first half last night.

They seem to think they are a big club at this level . . . the Chapple years were the exception! You're right Woking will definitely be fresher at least for Friday. Of course Macclesfield have consistently told everyone how small their squad/budget is so am sure they will collapse like a bunch of cards now
