As a boring accountant myself, I have been interested to read the club's financial statements which are admirably put together by the accountancy firm of which Bruce Elliot is a partner. For somewhile I have waited for the more recent accounts to have been added to this website for public viewing but ,alas, the latest set you will find are to 31/5/15 and thus 2 years out of date.
This may be just an admin oversight but is there any reason why we cant now have the 2016 and 2017 accounts displayed?

Are you sure? By my recollection, the accounts for the year ended 31 May 2016 were released at the last AGM in April 2017. I suspect that the 2017 accounts will become available at the next AGM in June 2018.
If I've got this wrong then please feel free to correct me...

The best way to get hold of the latest accounts is by becoming a shareholder as they are sent out for the AGM as Trev says.
Otherwise you can get them from companies house I would imagine.
I appreciate you are talking about the club making them available on the official site as they have in the past.

Was informed about the AGM as a shareholder but never received any info about the accounts. I think they were only given out if you attended the AGM, which I was unable to do.

Nope they should have been emailed out to all shareholders alongside the AGM invite I believe. The reason they weren't I think was because they were still being finalised.
I emailed the Hon Sec who emailed a copy to me as I too cannot attend the AGMs due to location.

Thanks for the info on this but you all miss my point..... since we are a community based club and we are even encouraged to buy shares in the club , I don't see why the club accounts cannot be disclosed on the club website ; after all there is a pigeon-hole for them .
As a community club we shouldn't have to be shareholders or have to search Companies House to access the latest accounts - in fact you will only find out of date abridged accounts!

Many thanks Dave re the 20163 accounts! I wonder do you know when the 2017 accounts can be put on here? they must have been finalised by now since they were required for filing at Companies House by 28/2/18.

They will be posed after the company AGM. Shareholders have to have some benefits !
