I have been going to Sutton Utd games for some years now and have stood through some tough times in the past however since the arrival of Mr Dosswell the prospects of the the club have been on a steady upgrade the team the ground the support, but one thing that seems to be overlooked again and again is the public address system I stand by Rosie’s tea stand and the address system is a joke whilst we all like to have a laugh at the games it is a wait see who it is that’s coming on as none of us can understand the comments coming out of the speakers, please with the amount of income etc can something be done about this

Well...this is a fans' forum so I'm not sure you're asking anyone who can help you, but it's pretty difficult to get good quality sound in an uncovered area. In the rest of the ground it's too loud if anything, so you might want to hang around somewhere else during the pre-match announcements.

I have emailed the club also , but I was hoping to get some support but your really good advice shows why I don’t go on this forum perhaps a couple of hundred of us shuffling around to an appropriate place is the answer

Didn't a new PA system go in a couple of years ago? Aside from that location, it's a huge improvement on what was in place before.

It's generally good, however I did notice it was very poor when I stood on the curved terrace the other week.

Ive always found it hard to understand even from the GGL End, the best place to hear it is probably at the CRE and in the main stand itself and along that side of the pitch

It is a fairly new system, 3 years old maybe. We are aware of the issue on the far side and it is probably caused by a loose connection or maybe a partially-broken cable but actually finding the fault is not proving to be an easy matter.

That speaker hasn't worked properly since the downpour on the opening day of the season. I wonder if water got into it? The one just inside the covering a few yards away works fine.

If it were just one speaker maybe disconnecting it would be a good idea?

How would that help Stewart ? IF the speaker was faulty disconnecting it would help the sound quality. You must be an expert on "Speakers" in the House of Commons !
