With all this talk of the possibility of EFL football, we at SUFCtv thought it might be good to start a series of 'On this day' to remind us all just where we have been and, where we have come from.

On this day 2 years ago 28th March 2016, U's were involved in a chase for the National South title, with long time leaders Ebbsfleet, and fellow 3Gers Maidstone United:

I counted 8 players from those that entered the field that day who remain or have returned to the club. Not many clubs at this level will have that sort of figure 2 years down the line. Nice to see 👍

That day was the only game of the last 11 where we dropped points. Champion team!
