Seriously hope we can retain Terrell for next season. He slotted in instantly and has been a rock for us ever since. Smart player. A first choice back four of Aswad, Jamie, Terrell and Nicky B works for me, in most situations.

Great to see us playing with that intensity again, its been awhile. Echo many of Dos's sentiments, we may not have won but on another day we're 3-0 up at half time as we deserved to be, and its 3 points. Luck has deserted us of late (One wonders how many points we would have taken from the last 3 games if Collins' red had been rescinded. More than 1 I suspect)so maybe we'll get a few lucky wins during the remainder.
Dos got his 11 spot on today, I'm sure he'd be the first to admit he's made some perhaps less than perfect squad decisions in recent months, but a lot of that has been down to availability. Aswad Thomas put in a swashbuckling performance today and was my Sutton MOM (Loach was a clear overall MOM), his crossing and attacking play was superb while he also put in a defensive shift as Pool's right winger was no mug. For me AT should have been in the side alot more this last few months. We could see close to a best 11 for the next few games, mine would be Bailey Thomas Collins Thomas Beautyman/Wright Eastmond Davis Bola Lafayette Harrison/Wright Taylor would be in that 11 if and when he gets back to full fitness and form.
One more win and we almost certainly cement a top 7 place. We might not have had the luck on the field but boy did things go for us OFF the field yesterday, could hardly have written the other results better!

Strange afternoon because on another day I would have been frustrated with the result. However with Fylde and Aldershot losing that could be a very valuable point come the end of the season.
In fact that vital top 3 finish could be secured in the next 2 games, but more likely it will come down to Aldershot at home - hopefully we won’t need more than a draw that day!

As I said in another recent match thread, the footballing gods appear to have deserted us in recent matches. One point from the last three games when I would suggest five would have been a more accurate return for the effort and performance put in by the squad.
Yesterday we came up against a 'keeper at the top of his game and while maybe a couple of his saves were more regulation than they looked, his one from Ross L after he somehow powered through and then pushing the ball away from Terrell as he looked for a tap-in were top draw. 'Pool had two shots and scored with their only effort on target and even though they enjoyed a lot more possession in the second half they could find little way by the way of chances.
Sutton's first half effort was full of the intensity perhaps missing in some recent matches and it was of little surprise when motm Ross L headed home from Aswad's excellent delivery. U's were busy all over the pitch. Good to see Nick B back and Josh T getting some meaningful game time too.
As for the ref; the normal Mr Rock performance. Not sure how their 9 didn't get a card for persistent infringement nor how the 'keeper was allowed to get away with some very slow goal-kick setting up. Still, he didn't have any effect on the outcome and after our last home match that is a bonus.
On to Maidenhead where we will need more of the same as the fight is on to retain third place.
