Looking forward to this one and don't forget its free entry if you get your tickets in advance on line. In the context of the season this is a massive game for us. Without a win in the last 4 games we really need to get back into winning ways and what a massive boost it will give the team by doing so.

After their win on Saturday, coupled with Woking’s loss, Maidenhead are now mathematically safe from relegation. In theory, a team with nothing to play for is just the kind of opposition you want at this stage of the season. Hopefully, we'll show the greater hunger this evening.

7 years ago today. Cray 2 Bury 1.
We've had good times on this date. Here's to another.

I'm now expecting Saturday's game at Ebbsfleet to be a really tough one (they have a play-off place in their sights), so, if we have to pick up three points ahead of the showdown with Aldershot, away to safely-in-midtable Maidenhead looks the better opportunity. This is also our game in hand, with three of the clubs just below us not playing this evening.
A win would keep us on track for third place (although we may still need to beat Aldershot). Anything less and, barring victory at Ebbsfleet, we're looking at finishing (at best) 4th to 7th.

Another defeat. 1-2 this time. 1 point from the last 5 games. Even if we do crawl into the top 7 we are in relegation form. Gonna take some turnaround

Definitely relegation form. Played very narrow tonight and got nothing. No width on the bench as Stearn cannot get to by line to cross the ball. Maidenhead centre halves won all of the Ariel challenges. Sadly I do not see us getting another point this season and failing at first hurdle if we make the playoffs.

Nope definitely 1 point from our last 5 games as we beat Chester just before that..still - recent form is definitely a worry.

Pretty awful tonight I thought. Tactics and effort both lacking. Next two games are massive. Hope we can recapture our form and secure the play off place the team deserves.

Let's end this disappointing night on a positive note......finishing third is still in our hands.....

It maybe relegation form but we're still in 4th and in control of our own destiny.
Tonight was a perfect encapsulation of when Dos says "90% rubbish and 10% great".
As it stands we're playing Ebbsfleet on Thurs 3rd of May then if we win that then it's away to Aldershot on Sunday 6th.
We're still in this but we need to sort out what's going on. Against Maidstone, Bromley and Maidenhead there's been an under performance by our players. We've got 4 days to sort that out against another conference South opponent of ours who have gatecrashed the play off party.

We do need to sort our form out, and I am sure that is what Dos was telling the players tonight in the dressing room. Dos did do an interview for us and it will be up tomorrow evening.
As it stands, our club stands just 4 wins away from a place in the EFL, we have never been closer, despite our recent form, 4 wins and up we go..

On tonight's evidence, the probability of us competing in the EFL next season is closely adjacent to zero.
We did pretty well for the first and last ten minutes, but the performance for the intervening period was as poor as any we've witnessed this season. There was effort, but far too many long balls that went straight to an opposition player or out of touch. Even our more experienced and dependable players were uncertain and error-prone. Had Maidenhead's finishing matched their approach play then they could have doubled or even trebled their goal tally.
Their first goal was a great finish from Pritchard (who has a habit of scoring against us) but stemmed from Harry B losing possession in midfield. Jamie B must take some blame for the second, scored from an avoidable corner, but he did redeem himself with a penalty save in the second half. Craig Eastmond's spectacular consolation goal prompted a late spell of Sutton pressure, but had we snatched a point then that would have been something of an injustice.
For the record, that was our third consecutive 2-1 away defeat, and Maidenhead become the second side to do the double over us in 17/18 (the other also having a name beginning with 'Maid').
The form table does not make happy reading, with only Chester and Woking below us. We now look reliant on a gravity-defying win at Ebbsfleet on Saturday in order to have a realistic prospect of third place.

Let's end this disappointing night on a positive note......finishing third is still in our hands..... I know. It's amazing really. And with Wrexham playing Flyde on the last day it's possible we could have enough points for the play offs already.
