The Safety At Sports Grounds Act 1975 is the law so we must comply and so have a capacity of 5013. It is the conditions imposed by the EFL not the safety group that will reduce the capacity further. If we remain in the National league as far as I understand it the ground capacity will not change.

Billy was right in his estimation of 6,000. If the spectators move around AND they are continuously head counted the 3,000 crowd will obviously be 6,000, simples 🤔 Wonder if that will content him? Hopefully it will and he won’t come out with anything else daft this season, but God help us next season when we do go up as the average crowd will be 3000/3500, billy will run out of fingers🤬

There are some terrible fibbers in here ! At no point did i ever ask for an exact head count.I posted this some time back for example.
Starting at the club shop they could do a lap of the ground and bar area and do a rough head count. It does not have to be exact - how can it be ? It will surely amount to (at least) a couple of hundred less than the official guess.
1200 come to a game - Sutton tell us it's 1600 odd. 1800 = 2100 etc etc etc
I merely asked for a more realistic figure.I hope this will stop the usual suspects from telling lies.
All the best to the team and i hope all the supporters stay safe on Saturday.Weather permitting i'll be at Lord's.

No wonder billy was elevated to the Lords from the House of Commons, we all know what politicians can do with figures 😱

From a bloke who can't be bothered to walk up the road to watch his local football club even though he has so much to say about it.

Obviously cricket is his first love, nothing wrong with that but yes it is amazing how much he has to say about something he's clearly not that into.

Is there really a need for segregation ? 3,000 odd people in a ground that could hold around twice that amount. Are the Sutton (or Aldershot) faithful liable to start trouble ? Aldershot are renowned for having some neanderthal-esque fans that like a scrap, so I'd segregate it all day long. The attendance at home to Tranmere was 2,237, and there was plenty of trouble that day from the Tranmere fans. From what I've overheard I think we've got a few of our own.

We’re we not told Monday that if we hadn’t put in the barriers, the capacity for Aldershot and next season would be less than the 4688 that it is now?

I think that maybe they have a modern invention at the turnstiles which counts the number people coming in. Ingenious eh? Also was their segregation in 1987? I seem to remember some of their idiots climbing floodlight pylons which resulted in them having to be boarded up at the bases.

To come onto this forum and make a big show of eschewing the final game of the most successful season in our club's history in favour of watching another sport entirely, well that's just not cricket.

At last, after being bored to the bloody core by the last two days of posts on this thread, something interesting to read about one of the most important games in the history of the club.
