First 2 on the team sheet for me are Eastmond and Thomas (T), didn't need either of them as it turned out.

A performance full of guts and determination. Our boys were not going to be beaten today. Even in stoppage time they were throwing their bodies into the line of fire. Well done to all. A fantastic achievement to finish third.

Great league season, amazing! Possibly one of our best performances this season and best atmosphere all season! Good to see fellow locals Woking and Tooting and Mitcham relegated but also bobbins we’re champions but don’t think they’ll be causing us any trouble for a few seasons....
MEMORIES! 2015/16 2016/17 2017/18! Hopefully lots more good memories to have in the future!

First 2 on the team sheet for me are Eastmond and Thomas (T), didn't need either of them as it turned out. Happy to hear from tt himself that he should be fit for next weekend. Assume easty rested due to yellow card situation? Beckwith played well today but desperately need TT alongside JC if we are to make our first Wembley appearance in 37 years. Who's everyone's preference for Sunday? Fylde at home was always the best play off scenario imo. Can't help the horrible feeling Borehamwood will win the playoffs though. Tranmere lost all that momentum resting their key players. Really gutsy performance today, one more win from a no lose scenario Wembley pay day

Firstly massive congratulations to the team & Management on finishing 3rd this season in only our second season back in the National League.
A fairly even game today and i was surprised it was 0-0 at half time after chances at both ends. Defensively we were not as tight as at Ebbsfleet and first half especially in the midfield we were overrun at times. After scoring early in the second half we conceded a penalty and at 1-1 we were on the rack for a while. However good substitutions changed that and once we had gone 2-1 up we looked comfortable. So glad we don't have to travel to Tranmere next Saturday but whoever we get on Sunday will be a tough game.Looking forward to it !

We've finished third, a best-ever in the league, and are now one win away from a Wembley final and two from a place in the Football League. That's some achievement for a club that three years ago finshed fifteenth in National League South.
Today's game was an open one, with both sides keen to win. I thought Aldershot mustered more goal attempts than we did, but a high percentage of theirs were just off-target. Jamie B, although kept farly busy, didn't have to pull off any top-drawer saves, but his sprawling stop in stoppage time was crucial in preserving the three points. Both our goals were rather scrappy, but who cares? Credit to Tom B for squeezing in a fierce cross that helped to set up Tommy W's opener. Tombo was also involved in our second, but it was a great lateral run from Josh T that opened up the visitors' defence. I didn't have a clear view of the incident that led to the equalising penalty, but our players looked unimpressed with Mr Quelch's decision!
And so it's home to Boreham Wood or Fylde in next Sunday's play-off semi. Either will be tough opponents, but I think I'd rather be meeting one of those than Ebbsfleet or Aldershot again.

So today my youngest nephew came to Sutton for the first time and while the subs where warming up Ross Layafette came to collect a football. My nephew asked him for a hi five and with out a thought he did that. Then my nephew asked him to score a goal to which he replied I will try. With that he scored a winner and all I want to say is what a nice chap and come on Sutton United.

In spite of some moaning from the usual suspect, the club set a new home league attendance record of 3,541 today, which was just reward for team and management for an outstanding season of football. Whatever happens in this unprecedentedly successful post-season, every member of this squad can hold their heads high.

Amazing to think where we were 10 years ago: Amber Aleman (wrote) I think we need some stability before we can talk about revitilisation. It now looks as if the club will soon have its fifth manager in the space of less than nine months, which is hardly in the Sutton tradition. We need somebody who's willing to stick around and isn't over-burdened with expectation. I think you got that I wonder what Mr Hutton is doing these days, hie letter to the Guardian at the time, I trust he is not a gambling man : LEN HUTTON'S LETTER TO THE NLP "SAD JOKE GOES ON AT SUTTON. Sadly, as I predicted in this paper 18 months ago, Sutton United are back in the Ryman Premier League, with the comedians still in charge: A 90-year-old multi-millionaire president who refuses to sell his controlling interest but is not prepared to put a fraction of his fortune into the club. A chairman who is a chartered accountant, so while the club will never go out of business, likewise it will never be successful, since his profession do not understand the principle that you need to speculate to accumulate. A manager who has had the audacity to bring back a forward booted out by the previous manager several months ago. If this prima donna had shown any interest in playing for the team earlier in the season, relegation could have been avoided. Can this once greea club get any sadder? LEN HUTTON, Sutton."

Oh, and today's penalty, if it comes under scrutiny by the FA diving panel, I think you could find the Shots no7 season ended today.
It was a clear dive, daylight between him and Bailey, maybe 2 feet between them when he goes down..

When our second went in I simply felt like a happy little kid again for a few seconds.
Priceless stuff, that.
Well done boys!

Think we're hitting form again just in the Nick of time. Out of all the club's that have been first this season, aside the eventual champs, we finished the highest. Wrexham, Dover and Dagenham all topped the table at one point and failed to make the play offs.
To be honest I thought today was pretty straightforward. Job done but looked by far the better side.
I'm afraid of not one side in this play off. We have beaten all of them at some point this season whilst only 2 of them have beaten us. Nothing to be scared of at all.
I disagree about it being good that local teams go down. It's not great that any side playing within their means does so. But we welcome Havant to this league next season, I believe for the first time ever. Let's see if we play them...
