Just a quick note to say thank you and well done today to everyone for such a warm and well-observed round of applause to celebrate and remember Barrie Williams, and a particular thank you to the Aldershot fans for taking part so respectfully.

I did wonder why the players didn't wear black arm bands.

Was good to get the song ‘one Barrie Williams’ going!

Can I second the appreciation from the Aldershot fans. Their response was an amazing tribute to someone that meant so much to our club and when so much was at stake in this particular game they proved to be true ambassadors for their club in the way they treated that minute of applause ahead of it.

Blessed is the person who having nothing to say abstains from giving us wordy evidence of the fact.

They did indeed show a lot of class. I noticed at the time that they seemed to start the applause fractionally before we did. A nice touch by the Shots fans.

Not what you'd expect from "Neanderthal-esque" fans. Dignity and respect in bucketloaded.
As for the video montage during the applause. Nearly got teary from me and I expect a few others. When you share those moments with someone and that someone passes, can't help but get emotional. Class all round in a fitting tribute.
