14 May 2008: Sutton United FC announce that their new manager is...Paul Doswell.
I noted in my diary that this was a bit of a surprise!
Back then the club was at a low ebb, having just finished bottom of the Conference South and been relegated back to the Ryman League. Ten years and two championships on from then, with Dos very much still on board, the club has just achieved the best finish in its history, third in what is now the National League. And the season before, Sutton reached the fifth round of the FA Cup for the first time. The tide has certainly done some rising during those ten years!

With Arsene leaving yesterday Dos will also wake up as the 2nd longest serving manager in the top 5 English leagues behind Exeter's Paul Tisdale I believe. Congratulations Dos

That'll be two Sutton United managers who have held that honour, although of course the other one wasn't at Sutton at the time.

Done so much for the club, could easily write a 5,000 word essay on what he’s done but let’s jist say LEGEND!
