Getting this thread started early. Here we go then - the start of another season is almost upon us and a tough start too as we travel to newly promoted Harrogate.
With pre-season now all done and dusted - I imagine this week will just be a case of fine tuning. Hopefully Butler and Clough can overcome their groin knocks and feature.
I’m not particularly clued up on this Harrogate side but I’ve heard they’ve strengthened well over the summer and think they’ll do ok in their first season at this level.
Who’s making the trip up to Yorkshire then?

I have booked my place on the coach. I’m sure there are a few places on the coach if you want to join us.

Will be there, not too far for me. Anyone going for a pre match pint or just going straight to the ground?

I shall be driving up for this, the only problem I can see is finding somewhere to park.

I'm up on the train via Leeds & back via York !
Harrogate pushed Salfords all the way last season but i have a feeling they may find the step up quite tough.
Don't see too many goals being scored in this one but hopefully we can come away with 3 points.
I notice on their forum someone is calling it one of the biggest games in their history !

I'll be travelling up by train on Friday. My first port of call will be the Harrogate Tap, at the station, which I hear is excellent.
I've been working on the South London Sport preview, which should be ready on Thursday. I'll predict now that our defence will be given a stern test up there.

I'll predict now that our defence will be given a stern test up there. Yep Harrogate signed striker Aaron Williams from Brackley during the close season - he’ll certainly need keeping an eye on after bagging 33 goals for them last season (including Brackley’s 2nd in their win over us in the Trophy).

Delboy, if you read the Official site for parking "directions", you'll see that the local streets nearby are for "Residents Only"........I'll bet that the parking wardens will be out in force for the first few weeks of the season 'looking' for "easy momney" ticketing people'just like you' NOT adhering to the rules !

There's also a 'Tap' within York station. As far as station pubs go, beer wise they're triffic.

Rambo i'm not driving and i don't park on double yellow lines so parking wardens are not a problem ! I'm not suggesting anyone park on them and if you google the roads in advance so you can see what's likely to be available. After all, surely they don't double yellow the whole of Harrogate !
