Back on home ground this weekend after consecutive away games as we welcome AFC Fylde in what looks like one of the games of the day in the National League.
Fylde like ourselves have made an unbeaten start and key player Danny Rowe has already hit the ground running scoring 5 goals - he will certainly need keeping an eye on.
Looking forward to this one - should be a cracker!

We kept Danny Rowe quiet in the corresponding match last season, but he impressed me with the speed with which he takes control of a pass and delivers his shot.
The stupid loss of Aswad Thomas may cost us again - depending on what defenders we start with. The inevitability of Moors' first goal [see the highlights] was concerning from a Sutton point of view. Even had we tracked the tall defender who made the run to beyond the far post, nobody who could have done that tracking would have prevented the header back into the goalmouth. Because the ball was dropping, not flying across, only a player right under where it dropped would get a head to it unless they could run and leap as Aswad does. Butler was prevented from reaching the ball by a taller and heavier man obstructing his path. As near an inevitable goal as you could find. Fylde's managers couldn't fail to notice.

Everyone is taller & heavier than Butler and that is where we miss Worner. However having said that Butler's kicking is very good and he does sweep well.
Very difficult choice for Dos next season assuming we have both.

Will segregation be in place on Saturday? It wasn't last season.

Because of a fault with the phone line, our card-readers are not working. This means that it will be CASH ONLY at the club tonight and over the weekend.

according to the report on the Solihull game Aswad played but that cant be right I imagine Aswad will play Monday. I think the strategy will be a similar side to Solihull tomorrow as on paper the tougher of the two games and also at home. Mix it up a little on Monday perhaps Some of the B team may start. Beckwith, Beautyman or Brown?

Very tough game ahead today. Fylde are going to be up there challenging come the end of the season and they are well financed.
