So that's now ten NL managers who've left their posts since the start of the season (two from the same club).

Martin Allen and Chesterfield part company. I wonder what he'll say in his Daily Mail column. Quite enjoyed seeing this after the insulting and factually incorrect comments he published about us.

I had total respect for Mad Dog as a player, but as a manager, he has exhibited a distinct lack of professionalism and integrity. Which is arguably why he's ended up writing for the Daily Fail.

If you were planning it a long time before doing it you would surely do so at the end of a season. I’d say it’s everything to do with results not being great.

Not necessarily - he could have been planning for the end of the calendar year. I know football is a bit different from most jobs but you don't tend to plan your leaving to fit with your employer's plans. Well, you could be quite right of course; I'm just saying not necessarily so.

He’s still doing Director if Football role isn’t he? So not an actual ‘retirement’, just from management.

It does seem funny that managers that rubbish us as a team or blame the pitch seem to come unstuck when they can’t manage their own team, e.g. Martin Allen.
