I'm not sure any of those were pens except the one that wasnt given as it looks like KC gets taken out with no attempt to play the ball, so probably a red as well. Ours in particular was a joke as there was no foul and for theirs I'm pretty sure Taylor gets to the ball at the same time as the wealdstone lad and blocks. Nickys looked like a tangle rather than anything but I can kind of see why he gave it. Absolute horror show from the man in the middle though.

Yeah only one clear nailed on penalty in that one. Shame it was to one the Ref didn't give.

I'm almost sorry I was at the game, to miss out on such excellent commentary. Such a shame that so much of the match's drama was largely attributable to Samuel Allison's decidedly eccentric brand of officiating. How he was unable to see Cadogan scythed down from behind in the box in the first half is beyond me. The fact that the ball's trajectory changed not one iota after the defender brought down his man was a dead giveaway, even if the ref missed the foul itself. And the fact that the three penalties he subsequently awarded in the second half were nowhere near as nailed on as the non-awarded one in the first half only served to compound a truly confounding display of Chaplinesque buffoonery. Refereeing hijinks aside (Allison really was determined to make the game all about him), I genuinely thought Wealdstone did enough to earn a replay at our gaffe, although to say I'm dead chuffed we snatched a victory from the jaws of defeat is a massive understatement. A tie that will live long in the memory, regardless of how much further we get in the competition...

How JC managed to scramble the ball behind for a corner at 1-0 I don't think I will ever understand.
The Cadogan penalty shout is also the worst awarding of a corner I think i've ever seen. Ignoring the lunging tackle, to miss Kieron knock the ball behind is unbelievable, what is the official on that side actually looking at?

I've lost count of the number of times I've seen JC prevent a virtually guaranteed goal, but that intervention was particularly special.
