Here's my 2p worth: I don't think suggesting having a bit of restraint when discussing people's employment status in a public forum really counts as "thought police." Nor do I think fear of said "thought police" is the only reason for doing so. Do you know, some people actually avoid doing crappy things to others out of respect rather than fear? Amazing, innit. In other words, personally, I don't think I'd enjoy it if members of the public were discussing whether I might be about to lose my job. Um.....nail on the head expression springs to mind. I do like talking about potential incoming players, maybe the outgoing should just be left out of discussion. My halfpenny worth. Seconded.

Putting aside the rights & wrongs of discussing player movements i was surprised to hear that we were signing two players.

If you read what I posted you will see that I named nobody, and the suggestions that a specific player might lose his job were made by others not me. I made a comment about Dos's video interview and my interpretation of his mood and likely action. If you think that was wrong go to the new signings page. QED.

It was pretty clear.

So what's all this about "the thought police" then?

Pleased we have made the signings. I am not sure when Aaron's loan expires as I have seen conflicting dates on line but important to remember that come the end of the season we will have two strikers fewer.

I thought he was here for the season. I was told the loan ran until the end of the season with an additional option at the end. I read recently that it expired in January so hence the confusion.

Perhaps someone in Amber Planet authority could clarify the issues that are not authorised for forum discussion, and those which must be discussed down the pub?

I'm sure someone could clarify this easily but it's up to the reader to read it correctly. Unfortunately the admins at Amber Planet cannot accept responsibility for those who read incorrectly or decide to read what they want rather than what is written.

It's the holier than thou attitude of certain people on here that are the problem. This is primarily a supporters forum and they have the right to express their feelings.

It's called consideration and respect. If you think that is a problem then we probably have nothing to say to each other as they are values in life that are nowhere near as important as having your opinion, whether others want to hear them or not.

Another way of looking at it is that it's not us being holier than thou, here, but you being a deal more insensitive than we are. We are talking about people's employment. A gossip list of 'who might have to go' isn't exactly tactful. Do you think none of our midfielders read this forum?

Yes people have a right to discuss topics but guess what people also have the right to say something is wrong. Different opinions are what make free speech, but the so-called free speech champion snowflakes always fail to recognise that. Putting it simply, no-one is saying you don’t have the right to speculate about out going players, but they are questioning the wisdom and effect of doing so, especially on such a public platform
