I don't understand this either. Most of the time he wasn't playing as a striker for us and he had great sped and control. Madness! I've read some nonsense on the forum recently, but this latest comment takes the custard cream for me. Dos is the longest serving manager in the top five tiers of English football for good reason, one of those being that unlike some managers, he doesn't make irrational, knee-jerk decisions. I suspect that Jonah was loaned out for good reason, even if that reason is not immediately apparent to us fans who only get to see the tip of the iceberg. I don't understand the underlying reasons behind this loan arrangement either, but I know enough about our management team to trust that this was a well reasoned decision, even if those reasons have not been publicly advertised. To suggest it's madness is deeply offensive. I could say more, but sometimes there's wisdom in keeping one's counsel.

Sometimes loans are there as more than just to get a player off our books (although certainly in some cases it's been the case). An example (which may have been before your time following Sutton trev) was Richard Jolly, proven goalscorer who went through a dip of form. Dos loaned him out to Wealdstone, one reason was to get his confidence back but another was to get him scoring goals against teams around us. And it worked a treat. He kind of did the same with Lafayette too at Maidstone (where Laf nearly inflicted great damage on Macclesfield). You're right that we only see the tip of the iceberg, but to call a decision madness based on very little information is actually quite offensive. We've got talent at the top here, and whilst people may not always agree, they do a better job than any of us could.

I like Jonah though it’s clear to see he needs a consistent run of games and some development still - hopefully Havant can provide this before coming back to us. He’s someone who I believe we can get back into the EFL in time.
Anyone who was there at Slough last Tuesday would have seen he was a little fractious to his teammates.

I would have kept Jonah too. Best to come from him you’d think. Hope he comes back with more games under his belt and ready to go. Bairdy said very much part of plans for future. So is Jack Jebb apparently. Jack Jebb was playing very well for Welling this season in midfield and now has a serious injury which has ended his season prematurely. A good lad (see him in my local gym).
