Hearing from the East that Aaron Drinan has been recalled by Ipswich and that he played for their Under 23s this afternoon at Millwall. Really happy I witnessed his one goal for Sutton; that late winner at Wealdstone. Sad he didn't do it again at Slough!

I think sent back is the more appropriate description judging by what Ian said in his post match interview

No. It was a very conscious 2 in 2 out decision.

Let’s hope the work ethic he showed holds him in good stead to go on to have a decent career at the best level he can achieve. Thanks Aaron for your efforts.

When I first saw the title of this thread I thought Aaron had come back to us already.
Sadly I saw lots of moaning and negative comments about him which I didn’t like reading - some posters on here and the FB forum aren’t very forgiving.
Unfortunately it didn’t quite work out for him here in terms of notching up goals but his work-rate and running couldn’t be questioned - I’m sure he’ll still benefit from the games he’s played for us.
I wish him all the best.
