Another long trip up north beckons for us on Saturday as we head up to the north-west coast to take on Fylde. The first team we’ll play twice this season having already drawn 0-0 here back in August.
After producing a good comeback at Braintree on Tuesday I’m hoping that result can give us a little bit of a lift as we go into this very tough looking encounter. Fylde who currently sit 4th (six points off top) have lost to both Salford and Orient at home plus Chesterfield in the Cup but are generally very strong at Mill Farm.
Judging by Collins’ video interview after Tuesdays game - Beckwith, Bolarinwa and Davis remain injured so as you were in terms of personnel.
Hopefully we can improve on last seasons unlucky 2-1 defeat there and bring back a point or better.

This is exactly the kind of game that we do well at. Fylde are the only side above us we've yet to play, and none of those sides have beaten us (Beat the top 3, drawn the other 3).
We can do this!

Does anyone know if any of the injured might return for this one? We could do with at least one of the three back.

FT: 2-2. Improved performance from Sutton, twice equalising against one of the division's stronger sides. There was an assured performance at the back from young Brad Pearce, who crowned that display with our first goal. And yes, Cloughie played up front again.
That's three victories and five draws (two v Fylde) against the seven clubs above us in the table.

Presume Pearce and Bailey were right back and centre back. Which way round not knowing anything about Pearce? Good battling point away from home again.

Deserved point away against one of the bigger clubs. We were the better side in 2nd half, and to come away with nothing would have been unjust. Very assured debut from Pearce at centre half, and definitely one for the future judging by that performance, with Clough again the target man. Aswad Thomas was for me our motm, solid in defence, and plays the ball well going forward. Good to see Kenny Davis back, he was tireless in the engine room. Great vocal support from the travelling fans, and glad there was a covered away terrace, not great conditions, but both sets of players gave the fans an entertaining match

Great result at a tough place to play. Listened to an excellent commentary by Tony.

Good point that. Very happy to hear the young lad had a good game. TBH I know we want to finish as high as possible but if giving some young prospects a decent amount of game time costs us a few points over the season then IMO it's still a good investment.

Not sure Dos would or should be prepared to risk points at this level for the sake of player development, but there is no doubting that facing higher levels of opposition can improve young players, and as you say there is also the long term benefit to the club to consider
