Is that league still going?

Yes, the league is very much still in existence and occasionally holds meetings and cup finals at GGL. Despite the decline in male 11 a-side football it manages to hold its own taking in clubs from other leagues unable to continue

If Wiki is to be believed it has some great named teams such as South Wimbledon Dazzlers, Putney St. Germain, Partizan Wandsworth, FC Locomotiv Lavender, Putney Ferrets and my personal favourite Battersea Asparagus.

Battersea used to be a major asparagus growing area (with the bunches of asparagus being sold as Battersea Bundles. So, a name for the club that reflects the history of the area (although somewhat obscurely).
