And continues a recent trend of players moving from Sutton to Maidstone (mostly on loan).
Maidstone do currently have the ex-Boreham Wood keeper Grant Smith on loan from Lincoln. Smith is also a very good goalie at this level, though it's possible that he's due to return to his parent club soon.
With Jamie Butler in great form, Ross wasn't likely to get many games in a Sutton shirt this season, and his departure means that there's one less on the wage bill.
EDIT: I've just seen that Smith has been recalled by Lincoln, so Ross's move makes more sense.

Top keeper. In a bizarre way he may get the opportunity to show that behind a "leakier" defence than our own. He kept clean sheets this year when given his chance, and made some fine penalty saves in Dublin too.
Best of luck to him, and I'm sure we will welcome him back should anything happen to Jamie.

Not an easy managerial decision to make but probably a necessary financial one. Having seen both keepers for at least a season each my preference would be for Ross due to his extra height. Jamie's kicking is superior and his liking for sweeping. Being the keeper in situ it would be difficult to make any other decision.

Should Wayne Shaw now be brought back to fill his spot.

Fortunately I've not seen too many trolls on here. I've not been posting long but I've always 'lurked'.
In my most humble opinion the people who I could liken to be a troll seem to be ill informed of a subject and don't know what they are talking about.
Not to mention the b*******s they talk about.

I see that Jake Robinson has also joined Maidstone, from Billericay, and seems to be a bit of an exodus from Billericay according to Non-League Paper.
