Very impressed with our display of attacking options shown in these highlights and Harry's corners and free kicks were delivered right on the money. That is the Harry we know and love!
Well done Team

Gime a Break! ‘Jimmy’ arrived on Christmas Eve and started the match on Boxing Day. Touré must have set a record for a U’s debutant in the National league least known to his colleagues. His wasn’t a particularly memorable debut, though after making room for himself with a clever turn, had his early shot curled into the top right corner he would have had people taking notice. It was one of about six sharp pieces of skill from the new man. Unfortunately he wasn’t given much service. My colleague said that at Halifax Williams saw as much of the ball by himself as he and Touré shared in this game. Another tall man to mark though, and that might have led to Skip been less well policed when he rose to head the only goal. The highlights on SUTV show 6 minutes of each half: and believe me there are no golden moments left on the cutting room floor. A Sutton corner deep to Pearce was headed back into the box. JC headed it towards goal and the ball hit the underside of the bar directly above a Bromley defender. He would have cleared it but for the ball hitting the keeper’s shoulder as it dropped and just crossing the line before being scooped away. That scrappy goal did not change Bromley’s plans - which were to defend in numbers and use two players with real speed to counter attack. In that they weren’t successful, so the late drama would have to come from Sutton. In injury time a pass back to Butler caught JC in two minds: did he need to help it on its way – yes; and could he stretch for it or did he need to run after it? By the time he moved the ball was past him. Quigley of all people was on it and 1 v 1 with Butler. Jamie was one of the few people in GGL not thinking ‘another 2 points blown’ at that moment, and he cleverly shouldered Quigley to a narrow angle from where his shot hit the back of the post.
