Mainly because he's often very rude about it. I agree completely with your second paragraph but we have plenty of differing opinions on here! And blimey, are certain people rude back at Billy! I’ve always taken his, shall we say, “controversial” posts more as naïve than rude. Faux-naïf, I think you'll find. Our Billy's more than capable of making intelligent, erudite observations.. when he feels like it.

Seems I was wrong on this one. A quick search shows Liverpool beating Workington in the 3rd Round 1-0 in 1952. Maybe it was a dream I had or a past life in another dimension. Think Liverpool may have lost at Worcester City when they was a div 2 club Do you have a sauce for that information?

To give an example of just how difficult it would be for any NL side to beat a full strength top 6 Premiership side, tonight Man City beat Burton Albion of league 1 : 9-0
As a side note, didn't we get knocked out of the cup at Worcester one year? I seem to remember us shipping 3 or 4 in ET - it finished something like 5 or 6-2 ?

I seem to recall that Barrie Williams was quoting lines from "Co-operation" by J Mason Knox (It ain't the individual, Nor the army as a whole, But the everlasting teamwork, Of every bloomin' soul.). That may have been on a TV interview though rather than in the programme notes
