Just Floyd played at the Boom Boom Club on Saturday. Dan Brown from the band on their previous visit mentioned that his Dad was part of the 1963 cup squad. He said his Dad, whose had a full time job as a Chef, had an accident on his Scooter and therefore missed the Cup Final through injury. Apparently Brown senior played right back for the club. Are the club historians able to shed any light on the playing career of Dan's father?

David Brown only made 5 first team apps for Sutton (at the beginning of the 62/3 season). He may well have had a scooter accident but not sure he missed out on Wembley because of it as Derek Gamblin was U's regular right back and no way would have he been ousted for the final.
