On the plus side, if history DID repeat itself, it may be because the FL had finally realised that playing on an Axminster Carpet with the best quality underlay every week is good for players longevity...

Yes and Dartford were the collateral damage. I remember the whole saga only too well although from a Gillingham perspective, was quite amusing considering they were full of how they were going to become the top team in Kent. In fact, they won promotion to the football league at Priestfield (while winning the Kent Cup). That arrogance soon faded. I believe they were sponsored by a company called Prosperity at the time they were wound up. Oh the irony! |

He tried but he quickly grew bored sitting still. He may not be the bees knees anymore but the wifes an old maid and giving him daggers. He missed the buzz of football and still has something to give, after all it's only a stones throw away!
