Roarie has left Dundee by mutual consent. Had bad luck with injuries and never really reached the heights. Hope he finds a club where he can showcase his considerable ability. Good Luck magic Man!

No disrespect to us, but I hope not. He deserves to be playing at a higher level.

With his injury problems he will find it hard to get another club. Mixed opinions on the Dundee forum.

I would take most, if not all those negative comments with a healthy dose of salt. Having endured many a relegation scrap at Upton Park, fans' perceptions of individual players are invariably tainted by league position.

Wild speculation. Hope he can put his injury problems behind him and find fitness, form and confidence. Good luck Roarie.

Did he aim too high? I know it wasn't his choice and he had to give it a try. He deserved to get a club in a higher division. Maybe he could make it in the third division although his fitness might be a problem.

Interesting that a second rate Scottish side is deemed to high a level for a guy that terrorized, Cheltenham Town, AFC Wimbledon, Leeds United and capped it off by hitting the bar vs Premiership Arsenal - I don't think its the level. It maybe fitness issues, some players need a run in the team to start firing, and another reason could be that he was not playing the free role at Dundee, they had him stuck on the wing ?

The bottom half of the SPL isn't that great now. I watched some of this season's games on BT Sport and I was appalled at the drop in standards. For decades up until about 10 years ago I would visit my cousins in Dundee every other year and take in a game at both Dens Park and Tannadice. Whichever club was in the top division would probably have held their own in the lower half of England's first division, certainly in the second division.
Now Dundee would not break out of League 2. When Rory played this season the Aberdeen and Celtic full backs had the beating of him. He looked OK playing the other teams, though he did not look sharp, he seemed to have slowed to the general pace especially on cold and wet days.
Best of luck to him though.

I take your point about the standard of Scottish football but be honest, much as we all loved those cup performances, "terrorising" Cheltenham and AFC Wimbledon isn't exactly a passport to the top echelons of the game
