With the lack of football today causing me withdrawal symptoms I pondered upon this:
We have 2 top class Keepers so the questions is:
Can we keep both in reality?
If not if one has to go, who should it be, Butler or Worner?
I felt traitorish about even having this thought, I think both are outstanding keepers...

With all this Saturday/Tuesday business coming up in February I would think that both are needed a) to ensure that we always have a relatively fresh keeper available and b) just in case of injury, you can never be too sure when a misfortune will occur.

If i had to chose and its a difficult decision i would keep Ross because of his extra height.Especially with some teams employing long throw ins into the penalty box.

Imo Ross has made the position his, for now, with his recent performances. Dos did the right thing sticking with buts as first choice despite Ross playing well in the odd game, but the way Ross has come in and performed since buts' injury makes it nearly impossible to drop him. It would not be fair, otherwise what's the point of having two competing keepers.
If there was any criticism of Ross it was his kicking and, while still not perfect, he's obviously worked very hard on this area of is game. To me that now gives him a slight edge. I would expect both to stay and fight it out for the rest of the season and whoever is deemed second choice at the start of next campaign will have a tough decision to make - go on loan and hope for another chance here or leave to be undisputed first choice at another club.
I will add that the general standard of keeping in the upper reaches of non league is very very high and I can't recall playing anyone with a weak looking player in that position for a long time. However, both our keepers are more than good enough for this level, ross perhaps even for league 1 / 2.

Nice to have 2 in an ideal world, but that is 1 out field player less in the squad.

Nice to have 2 in an ideal world, but that is 1 out field player less in the squad. You need two in a squad. I used to wory about Butler and he frequently gave me heart attacks but I gradually warmed to him as an outstanding modern keeper. His only fault is a lack of height. I was disappointed when Ross first got injured and Butler replaced him but I'd like to hope we could keep both.
