We could be down to the bare bones again on Saturday like Tuesdays game but we did very well considering. Dagenham have been going through a poor patch of form so lets hope it continues !

I guess it will be a case of going to Dagenham with what we’ve got tomorrow given our significant injury crisis - I doubt many (if any) would have recovered in time for this one. I wonder if new boy Barden’s International Clearance has been received yet - least he would be another body to add to the squad.
Making the trip tomorrow but refusing to pay £21 which is disgusting for this level of football (same for Barnet the other week at £20) so will be on the terrace all being well for £15. Been somewhat goal-shy of late - hopefully that changes tomorrow!

Toure has been showing strongly in the last few matches. He may be due a couple.

I think Barden may well be one of the injured. £21 is ridiculous and i guess has never been lowered after dropping back to Non League football.

A decent preview of the game can be found here. Skimmed over some of this earlier - I didn't like his implication that we resemble an average and unspectacular side - bit disrespectful that IMO.

Maybe a little bit. But when I read that 'they' aren't looking forward to playing us, I like it! He runs a pub, that Jamie Collins, y'know. You wouldn't want to go in there, of course. Too intimidating.

Eight police officers just walked into the cafe opposite ground. Any repeat performance of Tuesday evening's nonsense would be exceedingly ill advised...

0-0 at half time, and we've just dropped out of the playoffs. A second half goal would be nice!

I was in the home end so I had a good view of the shove on Toure in the 2nd half and it looked like a penalty to me. The best chance of the match undoubtedly fell to him.
We definitely benefitted from the extra width when Bolly came on and having to play Deacon at left back is inhibiting our attacking play.
Needs must when we're down to the bare bones. Good attacking play from both sides but we're a first team player or two short at the moment and the sooner those out injured return to the fold the better.

Not one of our better performances. Too many misplaced passes and getting caught in possession with the ball. No real creativity and this has been happening for the last few games. Don't think that Williams & Toure can play together up front as they are too similar. I don't profess to have any answers but something has to change for us to make the play offs.

Truth is, we've over achieved over the past couple of seasons. Promotion into the National league has seen, in the first season, a highly credible finish, and then in the second a frankly incredible league high - the highest that the club has attained in its history. Up against 'full-time' teams, larger squads and sugar-Daddy funding it is remarkable that we are once again competing.
Yes it would be good to be better in front of goal and more creative at the moment but let's face it - the whole set-up is performing unbelievably well.
This league is in no way, shape or form a level playing field. We'd do well to remember that (myself included).

Doesn't matter how spirited the performances are. You will not win games if you do not score.

Our first defeat to D&R in six encounters at this level, which in itself is a credit to the club. But we were second best today, and have now gone three games without scoring.
Before grabbing the only goal today, Daggers had struck the frame of the goal twice, brought a fine save out of Ross Worner, and had a goal disallowed for offside. So it was disappointing that when they did get their deserved goal, some of their players decided to taunt the visiting fans. The scorer, Conor Wilkinson, was the worst offender, and I'm sure won't be forgotten should he ever appear at Gander Green Lane.
Having made that first-half save, Ross must take some responsibility for the goal, as his poor kick to an under-pressure Kenny Davis saw us lose possession, Daggers then playing the ball out to our left with the ensuing cross looped in by Wilkinson.
We barely tested the home keeper until a fierce shot from sub Kearney was on target late in the game.
The defeat sees us slip to 9th, although we're only out of the play-off places on goal difference.
