The Sutton United Community Team 1st team travelled to take on AFC Bournemouth yesterday in the best of three semi-finals for the People's FA Cup.
After winning the opening tie 2-0 (with goals by Mills & Hales) the U's sealed their place for Finals Day with a comprehensive 5-0 win (Mills 2, Cheeseman, Phillips, Beadle) and then, with nothing riding on the final game, eased to a 12-0 success (Cheeseman 4, Mills 3, Dunn 2, Hales 2, Phillips).
The U's Head of Disability Football, Steve King, commented: "This is another amazing achievement by the players to make the FA People’s Cup Final in the UK's biggest football tournament. Last year it was our Hunters team and this year it’s our first team. We really are putting Sutton United on the Disability Football map.”

That's brilliant news. Well done guys. Really proud to be part of this wonderful football club.
As an aside, I find the name of the competition a bit weird. Who is the original FA Cup for if it isn't people?
