If Sutton United ever get into the Football League i would like to see them do so with a bit of class.Not by sneaking into the play-offs in the final position by the skin of their teeth.As it stands,with 4 games to play..................
Leyton Orient are 17 points and 35 goals in front.
Salford City are 15 points and 30 goals in front.
Solihull Moors are 14 points and 27 goals in front.
The play-off system is an absolute Flipping joke and has been for many years.It's criminal that teams who have finished miles behind then usurp others after a 42/46 game slog over 10 months.

Totally agree Billy, but we have also been the cruel victims of it, so if we do go up via some miracle we can call it pay back  |

Totally disagree. If you charge people to watch your matches, you are in the entertainment business. The play-off system makes the games more important and therefore entertaining - we would be playing meaningless end of season games now if it wasn’t for the play-offs. If a team thinks the play-offs are unfair, there is a simple solution - win the league.

If a team thinks the play-offs are unfair, there is a simple solution - win the league. Spot on. And the system we have now favours teams who finish 2nd and 3rd more than the others. |

Yeah, it's ridiculous that a system has been created that generates extra interest, therefore increasing attendances across the league, fewer meaningless games. And look at the inconvenience of having to travel to Wembley of all places for the final. You're right, let's bring back re-election where a handful of chairman can meet up over a few glasses of brandy and a Cuban cigar and sign off a closed shop system, year in, year out. |
