I'm sorry we couldn't do much to their goal difference but we stopped them getting any points at least.

He was awful, I'm actually disappointed we didn't test him more. Also we had a goal disallowed for offside after their defender pushed one of ours into an offside position from a free kick. Dirty Colchester.

The bottom four are all away this Saturday against top-half sides. All could lose, of course. But if just one of the four pulls off a win, that club would give itself a significant boost. We play the lowest-placed of the host clubs.

FWP were actually quite accurate this time, getting 2 out of 3 spot on (they thought Colchester would draw with Stockport).
They predict all 4 of us losing at the weekend
Crawley Town 1 0 Colchester United Crewe Alexandra 1 0 Grimsby Town Harrogate Town 2 0 Sutton United Wrexham 2 0 Forest Green Rovers
If we go win on Saturday and FGR lose then we're all but guaranteed not to finish bottom. But if we win and Colchester lose, that will take us 4 points clear of them, having played 2 more games. All of a sudden that advantage they've had will have disappeared and if Grimsby beat them on the Tuesday, we'd be in a position of having to match or exceed Colchesters remaining points to stay up.
I can't see FGR getting anything away at the side with the best home record in the league. Crewe's home record is pretty decent, and Crawleys is ok. For a side in the top half though, Harrogate's home record isn't great, they've got more points on the road and currently sit 19th in the "home matches only" table. We have a real opportunity to do something season changing here.

I’ve got my £2 ticket for Crawley v Colchester on Saturday. Crawley have had some fantastic wins recently, scoring plenty of goals, then follow up with a heavy defeat. I’m hoping they do the former on Saturday and the latter the following weekend…… at Sutton.
Harrogate are inconsistent, also had some heavy defeats and some good wins. Has Sutton got the heart for a major performance on Saturday?
Massive weekend coming up. Just do it, Sutton.

Now is the time to be men and stand up and be counted. All about bottle now.
We have given ourselves a life line. Three cup finals left.

We still require a bit of a minor miracle here. But one big win Saturday keeps us in the game.

Perfect set of results - including Crawley getting hammered (will need to return to form against Colchester at the weekend to steady their play-off push) That could of course backfire on us given that we have to play Crawley next week

Crawley play Colchester (H), us (A) and Grimsby (H) over the next three Saturdays. We have to hope that they play with more determination in their home games!

Bad news here is that Crawley are currently 10th in the form table for home games only, whereas for away games only they are...top. Not that this means a huge amount, of course. Any one game can break a run of form. Ours was brilliant before Saturday.

Finished 2.2 v Harrogate. Our late equalizer restored some hope. Well done Sutton

Went to Crawley v Colchester. The better team won but Colchester’s two either side of HT were entirely due to scandalous defending by Crawley. Unbelievable, and bloody Bristol City equalise with a penalty in the 10th minute of additional time when only five minutes went up on the board. Not happy.

Now we are reliant on Grimsby winning at Colchester to give us the faintest hope of survival. what are the chances !
