I can have sympathy for the fans, they don't get a choice who owns the club.

I thought we were poor. Probably a good time for our defence to put in an abject display and I guess you could say they were due one as they have generally held up well so far. Got to say bwg was terrible 1st half and I say again get some proper footwear. I would have pulled him but fair play he is a great trier and scored a good goal. Shows what I know. We need to get some confidence and move the ball quicker. Also think we can be far more patient but again that's a confidence thing. Glad Dos under no illusions. Play like that again and we'll lose.

Croydon have been through a tough time recently, but like many others we could mention the opportunity when it presented itself to have a dodgy owner with a few quid was just too much for them to resist. Croydon Ath are not a RP side without additional funding its as simple as that and most genuine fans will know it. I think the leagues should act to protect clubs and fans from themselves to stop this happening time and tme again. I don't blame the fans their or even those involved with the new owner coming in, but the truth is none of these people raise concerns in the good times. Supporters and chairman of football clubs like ours and Croydon have a duty in protecting their future rather then chasing a couple of promotions. Looking at the Ground last night the first thing that occured to me is where was the infrastructure which gives the biggest clue as to where this was all going to end.

I keep having to read my notes from last nights as I keep thinking I was at a different game to everyone else. BWG does need to change his footwear, but he was a constant threat to Croydon last night, his crossfield passes in partcular were a feature of the first half, and he fully deserved his goal. They had 4 chances, 3 of them first half breakaways because we had so many people pushed forward. Yes, we still aren't playing fluidly but Croydon defended like their lives depended on it. It will be like this more often than not.

I didn't think BWG had a bad game. Especially as he was played as an attacking left midfielder. When he's right footed. It seemed to me that was stuck there to accomodate Forbes on the right. Bradley scored after Fola came on and took over on the left, thus allowing him more in the centre and he became more effective. Sorry for saying this, but if you put Scriven up front, you can't critisise him for not playing well. BWG is not a left midfielder, yet for 55 mins he was forced to play as one. Dos will have a selection headache up front now, but BWG is making a strong case to play in a preferred position - top scorer when it seems like he hasn't been played as a striker all season? There's a lesson to be learnt there

It's a good point. He is definitely staking a claim for Jolly's spot. He has hardly been setting the world alight and has missed a number of sitters. Must be hard to bench him mind ...

Indeed, and where else could Jolly play?

I actually heard Ian Graham's interview in the car on Sat night. I did wonder if the Beeb might have cottoned onto him. Apparently he's been wearing the same jumper to concerts for many years. Says alot for his ability to maintain the same weight!!

They had some good positions 2nd half too without testing scrivs. BWG lost the ball in several bad positions 1st half and kept falling over! Not that I want to go on about it as he has been a big positive for us this year.

Dos' comments are fair enough following the Croydon game. I hope we show the same sort of improvement as last year over the course of the season. Gutted I won't be making K's game.
