It's so annoying that it's the same clubs over and over again. At least at Palace the new board (so far) has taken a realistic approach after the shennigans of Goldberg and Jordan. It's about time that clubs like Salisbury did the same.

I can't work it out. Salisbury say they will be expelled, but nothing official yet. And yet they claim they are now going to appeal against this decision? Firstly, haven't they missed two deadlines already? And secondly, how could they afford the legal fees if they have financial difficulties? www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/27831582

RIGHT! More news. Dartford reprieved. Salisbury relegated to Conference South. No reprieve for Tonbridge for the moment, but if Salisbury fail to pay a 50k bond and pay their debts, they will be expelled and Tonbridge will be back in. www.salisburycity-fc.co.uk/football-conference-statement

4th July deadline to secure the bond - similar to the Truro fiasco.

This is all getting a bit ridiculous, it's starting to mean that very little is actually decided on the final day of the season on the pitch, as fans (and the clubs of course) that were absolutely jubilant at avoiding relegation and did everything they could to show their support get nothing for it in the end whilst fans (and clubs) that have got over the disappointment of going down and started getting their ideas together for next season are now reprieved.

This is ridiculous. How can Salisbury be expelled from a particular division - but not from the league? Does this mean that its ok if they don't complete their Conference South fixtures but not their Conference Premier fixtures? They were kicked out the Conference Premier a few years ago and relegated a number of steps down the pyramid. They are serial offenders - gaining an on field advantage by not meeting their off field financial obigations.

What all this does season after season is make NL football look completely ridiculous. It's hardly going to attract new fans when this sort of farce is repeated every summer. There appears to be far too many idiots running football clubs these days who think they can get away with piling up debt (normally to the taxman) and then wonder what is going on when the IR comes calling.
If you can't afford it don't buy it and if you don't want to lose money don't "invest" in a NL football club. Bloody simple economics if you ask me.

What a ridiculous decision. The Conference need to get a grip. They need one deadline so everyone knows where they stand. If football creditors are not paid up by then clubs should be thrown out. This deadline should be 1 June to ensure fairness to all other clubs.Keep it simple and keep to the deadline. I assume Hereford must have accepted they were not going to get the funds together and therefore the relegation in order to organise themselves? Assume they are not allowing any additional time for the fact Salisbury were stupid enough (or desperate enough) to sell to a con man?

The latest is that the conf national are going to play next season a team light. Another kick in the nuts to a well run and financially sound club investing in infrastructure and the community and who finished second in the feeder league after the long haul last season. Total farce but we wouldn't expect anything else.

Is it not the South that they have said will be 21 teams if Salisbury can't make it?
