The Conference official web-site shows 23 teams next season - because they have forgotten Grimsby!

Is it not the South that they have said will be 21 teams if Salisbury can't make it? Dunno. I may have misread it. To be fair it is such a shambles they may as well decide whose playing where sometime around the middle of July with one great big Hokey Cokey /it's a Knock Out style event hosted by someone like Farnborough

There doesn't appear to be any chance that Tonbridge might get a reprieve. It's either Salisbury or no one. I know that financially it will hurt Sutton if it loses a home league game - but Salisbury should not be allowed into a position where they could be back in the Conference Premier in one season. Personally I would prefer to see Sutton play a prestige friendly rather than play Salisbury next season.

Interestingly if Salisbury fail by 4th July, there would be little chance of them playing any football the following season. And on top of that, they are still on a transfer embargo.
Really don't know how this one is going to play out

At the very least, I imagine that some of the current palying squd won't want to leave it as late as 4 July to find another club.

I like this comment on their forum.
...That vacant place in Wessex Prem is there because Thatcham Town, who resigned from the Southern League have been allocated to the Hellenic League instead of the Wessex League. Therefore the rightful owner of that vacant place is none other than one of our nearest neighbours, Downton, who should be reprieved from relegation to Div One. For us to take that from them would just be wrong. If we reformed and the FA placed us there - I just couldn't agree with it and would have nothing to do with the club! There are 6 vacancies in Div One. Placing us there robs no other club of a place! We should form six new clubs, take all the vacancies and then we'd have a smidgin of a chance of getting one of them to operate sensibly!
