Ok here we go.... First up when I refereed the academy team I said the goals have to be secured to the ground properly....the ref should not have even played the game! Cannot blame Ross you can clearly see the whole goal move...these two points "dropped" may be crucial Kit clash...why? Surely this kit has been approved by the FA? The penalty ok I have watched this many times now...never a pen but i can only presume the ref thought that when Ross had the ball knocked out of his hands he thought he pulled him to the ground....player reaction from Truro shows none of them appealing they just concentrate on the ball...but if you look at how their player falls I can see what he may have thought he had seen...however fact is never a pen! TBF the cautions apart from Ross were all correct up until Jamie's 2nd as the ref blew just as he was about to kick it and he had given no warming....poor from the ref and another game changing decision. Their red....never a dive either play on or a pen....think the ref may have realised his error earlier and daren't give the pen and decided to even it up...not right and should never be the case but is the only explanation I can give. Ok there you go with my referees and assessors head on and not my Amber tinted glasses www.thefa.com/~/media/files/thefaportal/governance-docs/rules-of-the-association/2013-14/goalpost-safety.ashx)

Watching again and it is no better for the ref. The pen awarded wasn't - did not realise at the time but the forward 'fouled' nor his strike partner even made a claim for it. Collins sending off is even worse - he was about to strike the ball when the ref called for time wasting - adding a good few seconds on himself.
They should of had a pen in the second half - thought it at the time. As for their goal to my eyes it was a mistake and the posts moved after he fell back into them. Not jumping on the mistake as he made some great saves for us several times in the game but I don't think the posts can be blamed.

The goals defo need to be anchored down somehow, by weight or attaching to something, but I don't think holes can be cut into the 3G surface. I am sure someone more enlightened than me will inform us
Worner played better than I thought overall. Perhaps a bit unlucky with the bounce on their first goal he was only catching it at head height, but surely he was (almost) in possession and the Truro forward simply clattered into him? Perhaps a foul to us, or perhaps just a legitimate coming together, but I am not yet seeing why RW's actions deserve a booking+penalty
Stearn and Fitchett our best players on the night

Spence's booking could have gone either way...

Goals definitely shouldn't move at this level, it looks really amateur in my opinion. Not sure it really affected either Truro's claim for a goal or Ross' mishap at the end but it might do one day and it will leave us red-faced, especially after all the fantastic work done to revamp the ground recently.
At least we were playing some really good football! I've not been down to the lane for a couple of seasons but I feel a buzz about it now and I'll be coming along on the 29th with some friends to hopefully enjoy a better officiated game.

Remember these are edited highlights so with Collins' sending off you don't hear all the whistles by the ref. He took an age to take the kick so I was not surprised in the slightest that he got sent off. As for the pen well we may as well give up! The Truro fan who said that they had scored and it was disallowed needs to get a new pair of specs. How he was able to tell whether that went in or not is beyond me. Finally, what did Vassell do wrong? That decision capped a really pathetic performance by the ref.

As everyone in the ground thought no pen on the one given. I'd say a couple of other yellows definitely could have gone the other way. When you always reach for the yellow you are running a risk of players going for soft stuff which I don't think the game needs or wants. Their sending off can't really say yes or no on whether pen or not, there is min contact and he has gone down easily. Certainly not a definite pen as has been argued on here. Almost the worst decision in a way not shown was booking Fleetwood for slowing down their free kick given he didn't book their guy for the exact same thing and another for kicking the ball away.

This is really good to hear. Spread the word! The more in the more the buzz grows! The great thing about the pitch is that it will enable football to be played the right way all year round which was impossible previously.

The game did not deserve that many bookings. To an outsider it looks like it was a dirty, ill tempered match, which it certainly wasn't. It was an error ridden performance by the ref and hopefully he will learn to referee with more common sense in future.

What an appalling decision for their penalty. As I said previously, he introduced a new law in giving that. As for Truro fan claiming their player was throttled they must attend the same optician as the ref!
Not just that decision though. Missing obvious fouls and giving them where there was none. Appalling inconsistency with regards to use of cards. A performance that brings the game into disrepute. The game needs protection from performances like that.

Agree in general but it was the fact he blew when the player was about to kick the ball - therefore causing more of a delay to the game in my opinion.

SUFCtv: Would like to clarify that incidents shown are complete and from first whistle, nothing has been edited to favour one side or the other.
