So tomorrow lunchtime we'll find out our fate for the 2nd qualifying round of the Emirates FA Cup. I think we can all agree we would like a longer run than last seasons efforts where we exited in the 3rd qualifying. Some interesting results and upsets yesterday with our conquerors from last season Burgess Hill slipping out to lower opposition as did Lewes and Hendon. Dulwich beat Hampton in an all-Ryman Premier affair.
Of the local interest, Carshalton, Tooting and Croydon all won, Kingstonian and Leatherhead both drew and replay this week and Chessington & Hook and Dorking Wanderers both lost.
Here's to a kind home draw against lower opposition!!

Here's to a kind home draw against lower opposition!! Erm like last year We're actually starting to show consistency in our play (aside from 5 minutes of madness at Whitehawk) - we could face a number of NLS teams - by my reckoning Margate, Maidstone, Dartford, Eastbourne and Ebbsfleet could all be in our section of the draw. Roll on midday tomorrow....

Let's hope we get the Bobbins at home. A decent crowd and a good thrashing would be great

Would love to see us play a local rival in competition, a repeat of that 5-1 over Dulwich a few years ago would do nicely!

I'd reckon Dulwich is one the sides we'd want to avoid at this stage. Can't see anything to be gained from drawing Carshalton either!

Would be very nice to have a derby of some sort as that is something we have lacked recently, don't mind who we draw as long as we beat them.

We get a team on the same points as us in the same league. Stortford however have had a much easier start to the season.
Regardless of where and who we play, we need to go and do a professional job. Less romance than other ties but I'd rather play them than get humiliated at home by a side 2 divisions below us like last year.

One of only two all CS draws. I doubt neither side is happy with it, although we don't have the best of records at Stortford.

You will tell me if I am wrong, but I think we have a 100% record against them in the FA Cup? We have met once before in the competition, going through 2-1 with 2 very late headed goals from John Rains to setup a 2nd round match at Swindon Town. Hows that for an old boys memory?

Pretty appalling actually! We lost to them on penalties in the F.A.Cup about 12 years ago.
